The Basement - Dig a little deeper

With the cost of land being at a premium and limitations in land size we generally advise our clients to optimise the use of their land by including a basement car park for their proposed Childcare Centre. The feedback we generally receive is that it seems too challenging, too risky, and too costly.



However, adding a basement car park to your build by a qualified and experienced professional Design and Construct builder can increase the number of child places for your centre by up to 30 to 40%.


Tip:

CCS has constructed numerous basement car parks and experience has shown us that there are 3 key factors to take into consideration.

  • Size and grade of the land

  • Structural elements that may restrict height clearances,

  • Drainage, and mechanical systems such as pump out pits, and having several drainage pits.
